About this site:
The Institute for Chemistry Literacy
through Computational Science (ICLCS) has been introducing computational chemistry to
rural high-school instructors and their students throughout Illinois with the help of the WebMO web interface. In promoting the use of computational
science, ICLCS is currently granting access* to other high schools, to educational
workshops, and, provisionally, to educators at other higher-ed institutions for
instructional purposes. We are partnered with the
National Center for Supercomputing Applications who hosts the interface in a
computational cloud-enabled
environment.
*Disclaimer: This web site is intended for use in educational and
instructional settings. The installed quantum chemistry software is licensed as freely
usable for academic purposes, with the added restriction that the Gaussian
software may not be used for "research" purposes. Opportunities for "research" usage may
be found under the XSEDE project, where prospective
users may apply for a startup
allocation and the
Computational Chemistry Grid ("GridChem"). Contact us
for other possible options or details.
